Financial Systems Business Manager – SAP

Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance/accounting support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency. We are hiring a Financial System Business Manager within the Global Business Services organization to support this transformation. This role, reporting to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Financial Systems, will be key in working directly with stakeholders to define what is needed from various systems (i.e., SAP S4, Legacy) to support the Finance organization. Individuals should have a techno-functional and business background that enables them to work with multiple technology and business teams to demonstrate ability to think broadly and strategically about the overall program. This role will interface heavily with our global entities and corporate personnel at various levels across the organization, as well as the internal and external auditors.

In this role you will get to:

  • Collaborating with business partners to identify future business needs, enhancing business value, and prioritizing efforts to deliver solutions, including the transformation from Oracle to SAP.

  • Providing insight into financial systems' impact on RTR business processes that advance user adoption, improve customer satisfaction, and simplify financial oversight.

  • Applying strong knowledge of the FICO system for designing, developing, testing, and understanding business requirements for S4 functions including integration with downstream and upstream applications.

  • Serving as the primary point of engagement with business partners on requirements definitions. 

  • Performing detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and providing appropriate system solutions.

  • Leveraging key strategic commercial platforms as the foundation for delivering global business outcomes.

  • Supporting enterprise systems and business processes in the area of Finance and Accounting, across multiple time zones and locations.

  • Collaborating with business counterparts globally to ensure successful implementation of projects while achieving target service levels on various system change requests.

  • Optimizing organizational focus on core capabilities and leveraging partners to provide high-value services.

  • Defining and driving strategy, implementing automation, improving user satisfaction and operational efficiencies to obtain measurable business value. 

  • Understanding the end-to-end process and systems within the Finance functional area.

  • Developing an understanding of integration touchpoints with Finance across all modules.

  • Navigating through a large amount of ambiguity and driving consensus between cross-functional global stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrating crisp communication skills, having experience communicating project status to a broad audience, and being willing to follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.

  • Serving as the primary RTR Finance liaison with the SAP development, configuration, and quality assurance teams for the implementation and IT testing of the approved design.

  • Ability to summarize and translate data into executive-level analysis & presentations

  • Responsible for ensuring multiple instances of S4 remain in synch from a functionality and integration standpoint

What you have:

  • In-depth knowledge of the SAP S4/HANA GL and the differences versus the ECC version

  • SAP Certification in FICO Module, a plus

  • Ability to effectively communicate at various levels of the organization tailored appropriately to the audience 

  • Demonstrated business savvy to engage users to understand their underlying requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organization

  • Candidate should demonstrate effective collaboration skills up, down, and across the organization

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport, and persuade others

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge, and/or a proven record of success, in executing various functional and technical aspects of ERP projects following industry best practices

There are a variety of job related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $148,500-$181,500.
