Treasury Analyst

Job Overview

The Treasury Analyst will play a vital role as a key contributor to the Company’s Corporate Treasury organization, providing day to day support as it relates to banking, short term investments, debt and insurance, including being the main point of contact to address routine business inquiries. The Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with all Treasury SOX controls and managing the timely completion of SOX controls documentation.

In addition, the Analyst will be responsible for providing reporting and analytical insights to drive effective managerial decisions in cash management and liquidity, FX and counterparty exposures, and short term investments

This is a role of high visibility from C- Suite management and the ability to get involved in corporate wide projects of high impact.

Responsibilities and Duties

Operations Support


Cash Management: 

  • Produce the weekly cash position forecast for Booking Holdings and ensure accounts are properly funded to support corporate cash flows. Support brand efforts to establish cash management processes and draft the relevant Standard Operating Procedures to support the new practices.

  • Coordinate the execution of Treasury Payments with AP and Corporate accounting and controllership team, including executing and monitoring debt payment obligations, intercompany funding, M&A payments among others. Troubleshoot payment issues as needed.


Short Term Investments & Debt:

  • Coordinate and execute daily money market transactions to invest excess cash or fund the bank accounts as needed. Oversee debt management, including executing and monitoring debt payment obligations.

  • Support standby letters of credit and bank guarantees issuances.

Bank Account Administration:

  • Work directly with banking partners to open, modify or close bank accounts. Independently complete all documentation and coordinate the implementation of banking services. Complete all periodic KYC reviews as requested by the banks. Provide Ad-Hoc support to all brands for special projects related to the implementation of banking services.

  • Administer online banking systems and services; train internal business partners on bank systems and services.


Management Support


Process and Controls:

  • Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements and SOX controls; maintain records and provide test data as requested. 

  • Write and maintain process documentation for all reports and functional responsibilities of the Treasury Analyst position.


Project Support:

  • Provide analytical support for projects with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Legal. 


  • Analyze and summarize information to prepare effective PowerPoint presentations with the level of quality needed to distribute to C suite management




Cash, Debt and Investments: 

  • Extract financial data from Hyperion to produce monthly cash, debt and investment reports that are distributed to C suite management. Develop in-depth understanding of the data inputs to guarantee reports’ accuracy and quality and to provide additional insights as needed.


  • Respond to financial data inquiries utilizing the Bloomberg Terminal.


Ad-Hoc Reporting and Special Projects: 

Develop ad hoc analytics to support Treasury Initiatives including but not exclusive to: Cash Flow forecasting, payments and transactional data, bank fee analysis, liquidity management, funding alternatives and execution.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field is required.

  • 2 -10  years experience in Corporate Treasury.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, experience communicating with diverse stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

  • Conceptual knowledge of SOX controls and experience drafting standard operating procedures (SOP's).

  • Conceptual knowledge of cash, cash flow management, banking systems, short term investments, Foreign Exchange, corporate debt and securities.


  • Working knowledge of Treasury Management Systems  and Bloomberg Terminal.

  • Experience working with complex documentation.

  • Data collection, data mining and data mapping.


Soft Skills

  • Ability to operate independently in a complex and evolving environment.

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Deal with problems involving several variables in non-standard situations. Propose and implement solutions providing concrete rationale for these.

  • Comfortable balancing changing priorities to meet strict deadlines.

  • Desire to grow within the role and expand functional expertise.
