Treasury Analyst

Reports to and Location:

The Treasury Analyst will report to the VP Corporate Treasurer in our Norwalk office.

Job Overview:

The Treasury Analyst is a highly analytical, data-driven position.  The Treasury Analyst will play a vital role as a key individual contributor to the Company’s Corporate Treasury organization, providing reporting and analytical insights to drive effective managerial decisions in cash management and liquidity, FX and counterparty exposures, and short-term investments. In addition, the Analyst will be responsible for providing operational support as it relates to banking, short term investments and debt. This is a role of high visibility from C- Suite management and offers the opportunity to get involved in corporate-wide projects of high impact.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Reporting: This role requires very strong analytical skills and advanced excel reporting capability. Reports generated would focus around the following:

  • Cash, Debt and Investments: Extract financial data from Hyperion to produce monthly cash, debt and investment reports that are distributed to C suite management.

  • Foreign Exchange: Use Hyperion and Bloomberg data and gather insights from the finance teams across brands, to develop a new dashboard that monitors FX exposures.

  • Counterparty Credit Risk: Gather banking and financial institution landscape across brands from the finance and controllership teams and utilize existing Counterparty Credit ratings to develop a new dashboard that monitors counterparty exposures.

  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Special Projects: Develop ad hoc analytics to support Treasury Initiatives including but not exclusive to: Cash Flow forecasting, payments and transactional data, bank fee analysis, liquidity management, funding alternatives and execution.

Operations Support for Banking, Short Term Investments and Debt:

  • Cash Management: Responsible for producing the weekly cash position forecast for Booking Holdings and ensuring accounts are properly funded to support corporate cash flows.

  • Short Term Investments & Debt: Coordinate and execute daily money market transactions to invest excess cash or fund the bank accounts as needed. Oversee debt management, including executing and monitoring debt payment obligations.

  • Bank Account Administration: Work directly with banking partners to open, modify or close bank accounts related to the Corporate operation. Independently complete all documentation and coordinate the implementation of banking services.

Management Support:

  • Process and Controls: Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements and SOX controls; maintain records and provide test data as requested. Write and maintain process documentation for all reports and functional responsibilities of the Treasury Analyst position.

  • Project Support: Provide analytical support for projects with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and legal. Analyze and summarize information to prepare effective PowerPoint presentations with the level of quality needed to distribute to C suite management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field is required.

  • 2+  years experience in Corporate Treasury, FP&A or investment banking.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (V-lookup, data clean-up & data mining) and PowerPoint skills.

  • Data collection, data mining and data mapping.

  • Conceptual knowledge of Foreign Exchange and banking systems, cash, cash flow management, securities, short term investments, & corporate debt.

Desired:

  • Working knowledge of Hyperion and Bloomberg.

  • Conceptual knowledge of SOX controls and experience drafting standard operating procedures.

  • Experience working with complex documentation.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Problem-solving and solutions-oriented mindset.
