The Talent Development Manager will create, establish, and streamline world class Talent Development programs, metrics, and solutions for Booking Holdings. This role encompases L&D, career pathing, performance systems and engagement. This role is responsible for management of small-to large-scale projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design, scoping, planning and analysis through implementing and measuring business impact.
The Talent Development Manager is responsible for consulting with internal stakeholders to manage projects and initiatives, collaborating with external vendor partners as needed and developing programs that meet and/or accelerate business objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage, design, and implement talent management initiatives, including leadership and employee development, succession planning, and performance management programs focused on developing talent across the organization
Own the Annual Performance Management process via Workday, including goal setting, mid-year, year-end activities, competency framework, and manager/employee training
Enhance HR programs and help drive a culture of learning and self-development
Manage annual Succession Planning process across the Brand and local leadership teams
Work with HR team on employee engagement surveys through making recommendations for improvement, workforce planning, and owning the communications
Partner with leadership to design a program that focuses on career growth and accelerating differentiated development for our talent
Build our overall L&D strategy to ensure a ready, evolving pipeline of talent with the requisite competencies required to execute against our business strategy
Support broader HR initiatives such as: workforce planning, career pathing, and other talent development and retention related activities
Identify needs and match staff with appropriate training/courses, to include the design and management of local programs (e.g. Quarterly Business Update, Learning Club, etc.)
Partner with Brands to understand and align on existing brand L&D programs
5-10 years’ experience in HR roles focusing on Talent Development, OD, or L&D
Experience building out processes and employee programs from the ground up, including the ability to create and deliver training
Excellent communication skills and experience partnering with leaders at all levels of the organization
Must have the ability to work at strategic, operational, and tactical levels
Strong knowledge of O/D, L&D, Performance, and Engagement best practices
Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Suite
Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
10% travel required
