Booking Holdings is looking for a Senior Program Manager to support the creation and execution of our Global Talent Sourcing Strategy. The strategy would involve identifying and setting up a set of delivery centers located in favorable cost structures across the world. In addition, we would like to build technical expertise within these centers, referred to as ‘Centers of Excellence’ to serve the corporate office and our Brands. The job location is Norwalk, CT or remote.
The role for 2021 H2 is to identify the key projects across brands, run pilots, drive the 2022 planning process (in Q3 2021) allowing to make big and strategic bets on this new delivery model.
Responsibilities and Duties
Identifies, prioritizes and drives programs and projects; establishes a pipeline/roadmap of programs and initiatives.
Provides technical and/or business consultative leadership for Program Management and Project Management functions.
Ensures and supports successful implementation of various programs; Monitors program delivery and provides coaching, counseling, and motivation to maximize employee performance.
Creates strong business cases and messaging that articulates the value propositions of a particular program / project.
Responsible for the effective management of the life cycle of all projects from start to end.
Proactively identifies and provides input into the development of Project Management strategies, policies, procedures, standards, methods including tools and templates.
Prepares, maintains and submits timely and comprehensive activity/progress/status reports and time recording/management reports.
Assist the leadership to develop and establish a strong Delivery Centers of Excellence (COE) operating model, program roadmap, and build an at-scale world class COE organization.
Contribute to overall Delivery Centers of Excellence (COE) strategy and direction setting.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Technology, Business Administration or commensurate experience or educational background.
Substantial knowledge (5+ years in commensurate role) managing talent sourcing projects for Fortune 500 companies.
Expertise in technology, managed complex IT or Product portfolios. BPR/Global Business Service setup and operations. Setting up Centers to deliver on a specific technical expertise.
Superior problem solving skills, leadership qualities, influencing, communicating, and consulting skills, team/interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others from any functional area or background, to influence thinking, and gain acceptance. Ability to comfortably work with both technical and non-technical audiences and to work with and through all levels in an organization.
Outstanding ability to diagnose problems that may be related to process, technology, strategy, or people and to put in place a clear plan to overcome the problem.
Solid financial acumen and ability to develop business cases that support new or improved project proposals.
International experience: Self-awareness of communication style and cultural differences.
Consultative style: Ability to formulate and articulate a perspective and present it in a manner that generates understanding and alignment.
Self-motivated and capable of operating independently with limited oversight. Strong sense of personal accountability for work tasks.
Comfortable acting in a role as individual contributor and influencer.
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
10%-25% average travel during normal circumstances.
