Job Overview

This Senior Manager, Business Integration role is responsible for supporting the Business Integration team through the management and/or governance of highly complex integration and x-brand strategic programs.

This role will specifically work at the holdings level on M&A integration (both pre-and post-integration activities), internal Brand integrations as well as supporting x-brand strategic initiatives.

Key Focuses include:

  • Development, maintenance, and optimization of an effective integration playbook

  • Core Integration & PMO driver for new BHI Brand acquisitions

  • Integration Bootcamp & Support for Brands

  • Governance Processes for Business Integration

  • Business & Operational Model Excellence to help deliver the expected value

The Senior Manager, Business Integration will facilitate the development of clear business objectives, scope, requirements & success criteria, create thorough planning documents, effectively manage dependencies, track & report the status of programs, highlight and manage through identified risks, support decision making and support the proper resource & budget allocation.  

The role will report directly to the Director of Business Integration and will be based in Norwalk, CT. The company is ideally looking for someone with experience working in a fast-growth and innovative environment in the e-commerce space. This role will require working cross-functionally and internationally with the senior Brand executives and integration teams to help with the strategic growth of the business.  This role will be capable of developing strong partnerships with senior business leaders and working in a highly collaborative way across a broad range of initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the value of ongoing process improvement, leveraging technology, and thriving in an evolving, fast-paced workplace. Qualified candidates will have meaningful experience working in post-merger integration, strategic program management, and business transformation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop strong & effective relationships and work with Corporate Development, Strategy, and Brand leaders on integration planning, KPIs, business requirements, process changes, optimization, and strategic programs

  • Develop plans for key initiatives and detailed roadmaps for the execution of strategic programs and business transformation implementation.  

  • Responsible to manage every phase of complex programs, specifically:

  • Facilitate the development of a vision for programs towards clear business objectives, scope, requirements & success criteria, including the identification of opportunities to improve the impact & experience for our customers and partners, translating into business cases and getting buy-in from leadership

  • Create clear planning documents together with involved departments

  • Proactive identification and management of relevant dependencies (both within as well as across departments and 3rd parties) in order to minimize risks and challenges.

  • Regular tracking and reporting status and progress of all streams of work, highlighting where required, risks/issues to governance groups or team members

  • Enables teams & leaders to make quality decisions and support  in prioritization exercises

  • Defines, executes, and maintains internal and external governance, with the objective of creating transparency and facilitating decision making through clear processes and accountability

  • Work in partnership with business units and functions leadership to ensure resources are allocated to the right work, within headcount and P&L budget.

  • Proactively manage risk, anticipate potential issues, and implement appropriate mitigations

  • Keep executive sponsors informed via program management of the enterprise-level integration dashboards for the portfolio of integrations and initiatives

  • Support Business Integration leader in driving the Booking Holdings level quarterly governance review process for integrations and strategic investments 

  • Contribute to the maintenance and advancement of the Booking Holdings Integration Playbook which is a living document and engages in the coordination of business transformation initiatives and supports the development of initiative-level program management offices

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration or Operations; MBA is preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in post-merger integration and/or large x-enterprise strategic program management in e-commerce, B2C SaaS business, and/or a global software business 

  • Preferable -2-4 years experience in business transformation

  • Innovative mindset & experience in e-commerce, B2C internet service, multi-brand & culture, and global/international business strategy are preferred

  • Experience leading a Program Management Office for multiple concurrent initiatives including planning, leading, and supporting post-merger integration, cross-functional / global transformation programs/initiatives, and facilitating discussions with executives

  • Experience in the design and implementation of change management programs including the development of a business case that identifies – why change, what will change, how, when, where, and whom it impacts (with possible outcomes and costs) as well as experience reengineering E2E business processes.  (LEAN, Six Sigma or LEAN Sigma knowledge or certification is an asset)

  • Advanced proficiency in Project Management tools, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Ability to be objective and think critically in consideration of leading practices that enable successful integrations

  • Demonstrated influence skills and ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional management without a formal reporting relationship

  • Experience in identifying risks to project implementations and associated mitigation strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and design business processes and design solutions

  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment, and capability of communicating with a diverse range of individuals. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the enterprise to successfully implement projects

  • Strong written communication skills and proven capacity to develop and deliver a point of view

  • Ability to travel internationally.  Travel requirements can range from 40%- 50%

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC metro area is $169,200-$206,800.
