Senior FP&A Analyst

Job Title:  Senior FP&A Analyst

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will report to a Manager, FP&A in our Norwalk, CT headquarters. The individual will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for serving as analytical and strategic business partners throughout the organization. Our FP&A team sits at the center of the organization and is actively involved with all major strategic decisions.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will serve as an analytical thought leader for the company and provide financial and operational analytic support. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: evaluating monthly/quarterly actuals vs. forecast variances, conducting ad hoc analysis, and implementing longer term strategic planning. The Senior Analyst will be expected to lead cross-functional projects; he/she will also be expected to interface with the CFO and to summarize and communicate findings to other senior management.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Help coordinate our worldwide financial forecasting and budgeting process, with direct responsibility for overseeing one or more of our brands
  • Coordinate consolidation of brand forecasts
  • Conduct variance analysis of actual results versus forecast and budget
  • Perform various currency analyses
  • Prepare presentations for senior management and Board of Directors
  • Assist in various corporate finance analyses and provide support in the Company’s investor relations activities
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for senior management
  • Build company/industry knowledge and develop a strong understanding of relevant financial metrics.
  • Work across the team to build reporting infrastructure, and help develop new FP&A processes and analyses that add value for all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or other quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of related professional experience; FP&A experience preferred. Investment banking, management consulting and other finance backgrounds will be considered.
  • Extensive Excel modeling experience required; knowledge of Hyperion/HFM is a plus. Experience with (and implementation of) planning software is a plus
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others and work well with people at a wide range of levels
