The Booking Holdings Global Internal Audit function reports directly to the chairman of the Audit Committee. The team is located in Norwalk (Connecticut) and Amsterdam (Netherlands). The main goal of the team is to provide independent insights, advice and assurance on business risks and controls to senior management, and to drive change with regards to Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls. The Senior Business Auditor is responsible for planning and executing SOX engagements at our US Brands. This role will also support operational audits in the key risk areas of our business and support the preparation of key deliverables to senior management. This position will report to the Director Internal Audit in Norwalk, CT at the Booking Holdings headquarters.

Responsibilities and Duties
Determining audit scope and objectives based on an appropriate risk assessment in conjunction with management
Developing a suitable SOX and Operational audit program based on the risk assessment and related exposures
Communicating progress to Internal Audit management and key stakeholders throughout the audit (from planning to completion)
Prepare audit and/or SOX deliverables in a clear and concise writing style, compliant to our quality standards.
Interpret the significance of audit and/or SOX findings, conclude on findings and make practical recommendations that enhance controls and reduce risks based on root cause analysis.
Participating in the quarterly follow-up process to ensure that audit recommendations are properly implemented
Work collaboratively with team members & colleagues at the Brands and external parties/external auditors.
Ensure that the audit and/or SOX deliverables are conducted in a manner consistent with pertinent departmental and Company policies as well as IIA Standards.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
3 – 5 years of relevant experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or Internal Audit functions preferably at publicly listed companies.
CPA/CIA/CA or equivalent designation highly desirable.
Excellent knowledge of auditing various business operations and risk-based auditing attained through financial and operational audits. (external or internal or both).
Knowledge and experience in utilizing computer-assisted audit tools and techniques (e.g. ACL, IDEA, etc.) and internal audit management software (AuditBoard) des
Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally.
Sound business and technical acumen, with the ability to navigate a complex, fast paced, organization effectively.
Strong time, project, and team management skills.
Possesses strong task management, attention to detail and prioritization skills. Demonstrated ability to follow through on all assigned tasks.
Good understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards.
International mindset and experience to work effectively with team members and colleagues around the world.
Occasional travel (up to 15%).
