Job Overview
The Global Strategy team is responsible for the overall strategy of both Booking Holdings and its largest brand Booking.com. The team has members in the US and Europe, and we work collaboratively on initiatives across the senior leadership of Booking Holdings, Booking.com, Agoda, Kayak, and OpenTable.
We are looking for a motivated individual to help us to answer questions that are core to the future of the world’s largest travel business. Our role is to break down and structure complex problems, execute relevant analyses, develop actionable recommendations, and build organizational buy-in. We work on high-impact, challenging projects across Booking Holdings and with each of our brands, with exposure to senior leadership.
Despite the scale of our businesses, we retain a small, start-up feel and an energetic culture. Responsibilities and Duties
As a Senior Associate, you will support the team in setting the overall strategic direction of Booking Holdings. You will own specific workstreams in which you will solve complex problems that have a major impact on a multi-billion dollar global business. You will need to think creatively, identify actionable insights from complex data, and deal with stakeholders across the organization.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Perform in-depth research, draw insights, and prepare actionable recommendations on a variety of topics, including attractive travel markets, competitive threats, and new trends in tech and travel
Perform (ad-hoc) analyses (e.g. competitive/market/customer/financial) and build dashboards to create knowledge leadership within our team and share insights with our leadership teams
Support long-term strategy design for Booking Holdings and Booking.com, and support stakeholders in designing strategies for new initiatives
Evaluate the performance of current business operations, and recommend strategies and tactics to achieve business goals
Solve complex problems in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization (e.g. on how our brands should collaborate together) and present options/solutions to leadership teams
Support the team in the preparation of materials for annual and quarterly meetings with our leadership teams and Board of Directors
Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including (but not limited to) our product verticals, research, corporate development, finance, and marketing
Travel required: 20% of the time or less.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business or other related fields
3-5 years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, corporate development, or another related field
Experience in a product or operations role in a scaled online business
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to see the “big picture” and understand key dynamics of a business/industry while maintaining good attention-to-detail
Strong understanding of strategic, business, and financial concepts, tools, and frameworks; comfort with corporate finance and accounting principals
Strong experience within strategic projects and topics, including hypothesis development, financial and business modeling (Excel proficient), option identification, consensus building, and implementation
Successful project management experience in facilitating cross-functional, complex projects in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple project deadlines and priorities
Ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to present insights and actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner and influence stakeholders at mid to senior levels of the organization
Expertise in technology, ideally in travel, e-commerce, retail, payments, and/or consumer-facing products is desirable
Knowledge of SQL and other data-gathering and analysis techniques is a plus
Fluency in languages other than English is a plus

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC metro area is $108,000-$132,000.
