Job Overview

Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance/accounting support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.

To support this transformation, we are hiring a Senior Analyst, Financial Analysis within the Global Business Services organization. This role, reporting to the Director, Global Consolidations and Reporting, will be key in fulfilling our global internal and external stakeholders’ reporting and analytics needs. This role will interface heavily with our global entities and corporate personnel at various levels across the organization, as well as the internal and external auditors. 

Responsibilities and Duties

The Senior Analyst, Financial Analysis will be responsible for: 

  • Managing the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.

  • Managing the preparation of financial materials to be presented to the senior management/executive leadership team.

  • Reviewing variance analysis of actual results versus forecast, budget and prior year, across the brands and on a consolidated basis.

  • Assisting with managing the monthly closing process, including analysis of accounts across our global entities.

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams globally to identify business requirements, translating to KPIs, reporting data structures, creating implementation plans, and delivering analytics and reports to generate advanced and actionable insights to help drive key business decisions. 

  • Building and/or overseeing the creation of report dashboards, OneStream, PowerPoint or Google Slides decks, charts, and other deliverables that support our global user base.

  • Working with internal customers to ensure that reporting insights are communicated and used effectively.

  • Being a change agent, using influence, education and persuasion to build relationships and gain support for difficult changes.

  • Rethinking existing processes and designing a future state aligned with a newly envisioned operating model.

  • Managing the preparation and analytics surrounding the statement of cash flows. 

  • Managing the financial packages and associated analytics presented to the Audit Committee.

  • Partnering with Investor Relations with data required for investor presentations.

  • Supporting quarterly SEC reporting processes, through automation of financial data used in our externally reported financial statements.

  • Coordinating, developing, and maintaining written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.

  • Maintaining and strengthening internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Optimizing reporting controls and processes using tools, systematization, and automation.

  • Driving initiatives to optimize and/or automate current reporting through processes improvement and system enhancements.

  • Managing quarterly bank covenant compliance reporting.

  • Partnering with stakeholders across the enterprise, including Legal, Treasury and IT, to streamline and automate the financial reporting process.

  • Participating in Finance Transformation initiatives, including implementation of OneStream Consolidation system.

  • Providing assistance to satisfy any regulatory requirements, as needed.

  • Performing ad hoc financial analysis for senior leadership, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate at various levels of the organization tailored appropriately to the audience 

  • Strong understanding of foreign currency

  • Strong understanding and previous experience preparing a cash flow statement (ASC 830 Foreign Currency Matters and ASC 230 Statement of Cash Flows, respectively) 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organization

  • Candidate should demonstrate effective collaboration skills up, down and across the organization

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others

  • Maintain effectiveness in continually evolving environment

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize workload in order to achieve objectives under tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with SAP is preferred

  • Experience with OneStream or Hyperion Financial Management is a plus

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $102,600-$125,400.
