Booking Holdings Financial Services Ireland, is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager with strong experience in Financial Services to act as a critical partner to our business, helping develop, launch, and enable our mission to deliver a world-class payments operation to support Booking Holdings Inc’s brands globally. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will assist in ensuring the business complies with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures across Ireland and EEA business. You’ll report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. This will be a controlled function role. Harnessing the strategic vision of the company this role will be responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the Regulatory compliance programs throughout the organisation are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations and producing useful management information to support the business as it continues to scale. Given the collaborative nature of the business you will be consistently business partnering with the product, operations, engineering and marketing teams to ensure you understand the intricacies of operations. Responsibilities and Duties
The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be part of the Compliance team and be instrumental in ensuring the organisation meets its strategic objectives under the umbrella of the Booking Holdings Inc family of Brands, with a particular focus on the Ireland and EEA.
You will provide assurance to CCO that there are effective and efficient systems, policies and procedures in place, well understood and respected by all employees, and that the company is complying with all regulatory requirements. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will:
Management of Compliance Charters, Policies and Procedures including Complaints documents
Monitor Regulatory Horizon and assess impact of any changes
Responsible Regulator engagement
Management of Regulatory Log and Regulatory Returns Calendar for Compliance and overall entity
Oversight of Complaints and Trend reporting and ownership of Customer/Partner Services Outsourced relationship relating to Complaints.
Provide training to Customer/Partner Services on Complaints Handling and provide all employees training on all Regulatory matters.
Guidance and Advice on New Business Initiatives
Responsible Regulatory related Internal Audit
Minimum 5 years Compliance/Regulatory experience at a mid management level, in a regulated financial services business.
Background in law, accounting, finance or related disciplines.
Demonstrated experience dealing with financial services regulators
Knowledge of EU payment and e-money regulations and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
Professional Diploma in Compliance (LCOI) or equivalent
Strong knowledge of Irish and EU financial services regulatory frameworks
Knowledge of Irish regulatory Requirements
Enhance compliance culture within the organisation. Provide the relevant training and regular updates to heighten staff’s compliance awareness.
The ability to prioritise activities and delegate to others both within the business and external partners
Experience in implementing compliance frameworks at dynamic, scaling and innovative companies with a global reach
