Job Overview

Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance/accounting support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.

To support this transformation, we are hiring for a Manager, Intercompany within the Global Accounting Organization. This role, reporting to the Accounting Process Owner, will be responsible for helping drive standardized global processes, leveraging best in class technology being implemented globally, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures, and owning all things intercompany.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Manager, Intercompany is responsible for global oversight and management of intercompany and the associated end-to-end business processes, including oversight over the monthly intercompany close process and driving the evolution of the end-to-end process for capturing and reporting intercompany transactions.

The Manager, Intercompany will be responsible for: 

  • Proper review of global intercompany transaction and account activity to ensure proper elimination and presentation in consolidated and standalone financial statements.

  • Ensuring that intercompany transactions have been appropriately implemented and executed per the intercompany agreements.

  • Oversight of all global intercompany transactions and processes, including compliance with intercompany transfer pricing agreements, as well as completeness and accuracy of intercompany accounts.

  • Partnering with Product, Legal, FP&A and Tax teams in the development of legal entity accounting policies arising from new intercompany arrangements.

  • Providing leadership to drive alignment and intercompany process standardization across the Booking Holdings brands globally.

  • Implementing a global standard process model from a people, process and technology perspective in collaboration with Product, Legal, FP&A and Tax teams.

  • Researching and preparing intercompany accounting analyses impacted by new business initiatives create and maintain transfer pricing accounting procedural documentation.

  • Serving as the primary liaison with the Tax team to ensure calculations are accurate and compliant with TP policies and intercompany arrangements.

  • Overseeing monthly intercompany accounting close activities.

  • Partnering with Finance Systems and Tax teams to assist in the design and implementation of intercompany, transfer pricing automation tooling and integration with accounting systems. 

  • Implementing and monitoring intercompany accounting policies and procedures.

  • Designing and communicating the processes and controls needed while also promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Identifying improvement opportunities to advance and accelerate the intercompany close process.

  • Leading other special projects.


  •  BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Management (CPA, or MBA preferred).

  • Minimum 7 years of Finance and Accounting experience in a complex multinational organization.

  • Understanding of GAAP and IFRS.

  • Ability to work across multiple functions and entities to drive governance and process relating to intercompany operations.

  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) focused on leading and influencing the global intercompany process team; comfortable to lead a diverse set of peers and stakeholders; conveys a constructive and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Experience working with global teams in different time zones.

  • Extensive experience and working knowledge of intercompany best practices.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP and Blackline, a plus.

  • Experience working in a global organization where leading and driving change across multiple companies is key.

  • Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization. 

  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Travel – 25% average during normal circumstances.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $129,000 – $157,000.
