The Global Sourcing Manager, Facilities will report to VP, Procurement in our Norwalk office.

Job Overview:

The Global Sourcing Manager, Facilities will drive the development of sourcing strategies in the global spend areas of facilities and real estate to deliver savings, value, and process improvements. This includes sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and partner management to drive to outstanding process execution.

This role will collaborate with senior leaders and functional specialists to understand business needs, market insights, risks and opportunities to drive Procurement goals. This role will also drive Procurement value contribution while ensuring compliance with policies, strategies and processes. Come join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties:

Support global sourcing strategy development to deliver cost savings and increase cash flow:

  • Lead development of procurement strategies for the facilities and real estate spend areas including facility management, security services, maintenance, office expenditure, utilities.  Lead and execute projects to drive regional and global business expectations.  Deliver plans to drive the global benchmarks and top quartile cost performance.
  • Total spend is $120 million, across sites primarily in the US.  Work in collaboration with the global team.
  • Create standardized process of building fact base, internal and external benchmarking and implement as part of the sourcing strategy.
  • Develop and drive risk management processes, continuous improvement actions and develop key supplier relationships to that effect.
  • Set goals and drive key indicators in accordance with the global Procurement vision for assigned regions/Brands.
  • Drive best-practice sharing and standardization or the sourcing process.

Support partner engagement, collaboration of teams, and supplier relationships:

  • Support supplier relationship management (SRM) program for the assigned Spend Area. Identify and manage the connectivity of the spend area teams with functional partners, suppliers and internal procurement colleagues.
  • Manage partner engagement and alignment throughout the end-to-end sourcing process.
  • Manage commercial supplier relationships and contracts for spend areas.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in managing facility services and real estate.  Broader Indirect procurement, and supply chain experience preferred. 
  • P2P experience and knowledge in Indirect sourcing.
  • Global sourcing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. MBA highly desired.
  • Must have experience influencing senior level executives.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The ability to influence without authority, change management and communication skills. Ability to manage a sophisticated value creation agenda.
  • Proficient in the best-practice sourcing process, P2P application, category management and Supplier management. Detailed knowledge of RFQ/RFP/RFI process.
  • Knowledge of outstanding key performance indicators and metrics, benchmarks and top-quartile levers in the IT space.
  • Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to a wide range of partners.
  • Solid grasp of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Able to work with an enterprise financial system in a service/retail environment.
  • Experience utilizing an eProcurement system.
  • Significant negotiating experience.
  • Strong supplier relationship, organizational & project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and use sound judgment to make business decisions.
