An exciting opportunity has arisen in the BHI Financial Crime Risk Management (“FCRM”) team for a Senior Associate role. This role will be fundamental to the successful and smooth operation of the Group’s FCRM program.

The BHI Financial Crime Risk Management Senior Associate will sit in the Financial Crime Program Office and will be responsible for managing key parts of the Financial Crime Program, including strategy and administration, across the BHI group of brands and businesses.

You will act as a key point of contact and coordination for FCRM  matters and will be working closely with teams across Booking Holdings’ Brands and businesses to ensure a coordinated approach across the Group as we drive improvements to our program and manage any Financial Crime-related issues. You will also help deliver on FCRM strategy and senior management presentations, training content development, and oversee the administration of the FCRM Program, including strategic decisions on resources, budget allocations, and vendor engagements.

In this role you will get to:

  • Maintain an awareness of Financial Crime regulations and requirements to support the development of policies and processes and build a culture of Financial Crime compliance, awareness, and prevention within the BHI Group of brands and businesses.

  • Build and maintain a training program for Financial Crime, including induction training and E-Learning, to effectively embed our Financial Crime culture and awareness.

  • Develop strategic presentations and reporting for senior management on the FCRM Program and its strategic vision.

  • Conduct gap analysis in Financial Crime Risk Management and present areas of improvement to senior leadership. 

  • Administer FCRM resource oversight, budget allocations, and vendor engagements.

  • Work closely with teams across the brands and businesses, including compliance, to manage  Financial Crime-related issues and ensure a coordinated response across the group. Support the business and the compliance team with ad hoc compliance matters and act as a key point of contact and coordination for all Financial Crime Risk Management matters in the Group.

What you have:

  • Excellent communication and cooperation skills.

  • Excellent in slide presentations and memo writing.

  • Accounting and budget management.

  • Project and program management,

  • Relevant experience working in a Financial Crime prevention function within a bank, FinTech, Payments company, or consulting

  • Good knowledge of current Sanctions regimes (OFAC, EU, OFSI)

  • Dynamic, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and engage people at all management levels.

  • Tenacious and high attention to detail with the ability to identify issues, solve problems, and propose practical solutions

  • Open to international travel

There are a variety of job-related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.

The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $84,600-$103,400.
