Job Overview

Booking Holdings Financial Services, is building out a finance team with experience within a regulated financial services environment, helping to deliver a world-class payments operation to support Booking Holdings Inc’s brands globally. The company is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst into the team. Reporting to the “Payments” Finance Manager the successful candidate will be a part of the “Payments” team who will be responsible for the day to day processes, controls and reporting necessary to ensure the business meets its obligations with respect to safeguarding, reconciliation and reporting of “User Funds”.  This position and team will work closely with colleagues in affiliate companies who support the daily execution of key tasks under an outsourced arrangement. The role is  part of the wider finance team  responsible for both the day to day financial operations of the Irish business as well supporting new business initiatives across the company. The  Finance team will be responsible for ensuring BHFS is in compliance with all its regulatory and statutory responsibilities from a financial control and oversight perspective and will partner with both internal and external service providers to ensure a strong internal control environment.  The Finance team will be accountable for the delivery of timely, complete and accurate financial statements and management reporting and supporting financial analysis,  and will support the local executive team in pursuit of the company’s objectives. This role must operate in accordance with accounting principles and standards, applicable control framework of BKNG group and BHFS entities, and requirements set out by the Financial Conduct Authority.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of daily reconciliations in line with regulatory obligations around safeguarding.

  • Take ownership of reconciliation processes and ensure that unreconciled items are investigated and tracked until completion.

  • Provide support to the Treasury team for liquidity forecasting.

  • Support liquidity monitoring and internal cash management reporting requirements.

  • Ensure treasury and safeguarding processes are completed in line with the control environment set.

  • Collaborate with internal and external service providers to support the rollout of new products.

  • Provide support for internal and external audit review processes.

  • Understanding products within the brands and documenting end to end processes.

Knowledge and skills

  • Accounting, Finance degree and/or Specialized Certification, such as CIMA, ACCA, CRA or CPA

  • Basic Job Knowledge (3 – 5 years)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful

  • Solution oriented and result driven

  • Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently as well as working in a team

  • Good communication and analytical skills

  • Ability to multi-task & flexible attitude
