The Booking Holdings Financial Services (BHFS) group is an international group of companies that is owned by Booking Holdings Inc. and will enable the delivery of regulated financial and payments services to customers of the BKNG brands around the world.

We’re currently searching for an experienced Director Program Management to join Booking Holdings Financial Services US. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement multi-year, cross-functional program initiatives. As a proven leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination, socialization, escalation and obstacle management and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion with proper controls and operational readiness for execution.

Objectives of this Role

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain the company’s program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives

  • Defining the program governance and framework

  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement

  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance

  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached

  • Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity  

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives

  • Manage program and project teams for delivery, optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives

  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams, stakeholders and external vendors and consultants

  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives

  • Work with various stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department

  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders

  • Lead best practices within the Function/Unit on Project Management methodology and behaviors

  • Holds teams/colleagues to account of next steps and objectives, records where these have been missed

  • Owns the communication, program reporting, and calendar for the function and partners with Internal Communications to senior managers to ensure content is relevant and transparent to the organization

Knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field 

  • 10+ years in an advanced management role 

  • 10+ years of experience as a Program Manager, delivery leader, or related discipline with ideal candidate having relevant experience in a regulated financial institution or payments institution

  • Highly structured, results driven & eager to make an impact

  • Analytical skilled and mastering data handling

  • Proven stakeholder management; proactively manages a large amount of stakeholders

  • Well-developed business acumen

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Strong project management skills including experience with a range of different methodologies and techniques.

  • Must be flexible and pragmatic in the methods employed- not dogmatic.

  • Ability to break up a complex problem into actionable and easy to understand solutions

  • Able to function well within ambiguity and tell a clear story with data/insights

  • Interpersonal skills focused on collaboration, building links and relationships within diverse product teams, across organization and outside

  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills

  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes

  • Experience in a regulated environment is highly desirable
