Director, Global Indirect Procurement

The Director, Global Indirect Procurement will report to VP, Procurement in our Norwalk office.

Job Overview:

The Director, Global Indirect Procurement (with a specific focus and deep expertise in technology procurement) develops and implements procurement strategies to deliver top-quartile cost reductions and savings to the organization. This role sets the processes to develop strong supplier relationships, develop business improvement plans, drives the simplicity agenda and implement the S2P processes/strategies and tools.

This role is global in nature and will look to manage over $200+ million in spend across the company. Come join our team!

Responsibilities and Duties:

Drive Savings through world-class sourcing and category management strategies:

  • Identify and implement key cost saving opportunities resulting in significant savings to the company on a yearly basis. 
  • Standardize, globalize and drive efficiency improvements across the key spend areas.  Develop and support initiatives to provide consistency and standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and provide ongoing category, supplier and performance reporting to Senior Management and internal customers.
  • Support the risk management process with the business.

Build Great partner relationships:

  • Partner with management in each Brand and function to support their business objectives. Work with internal business partners, and the broader procurement team to develop the right procurement strategies for the business.
  • Drive great Supplier management processes and ownership to support the company growth agenda.


Required Experience:

  • Experience in IT spend management and broader Indirect spend, BPO spend category, and P2P/ S2P process.  Experience in leading other areas of broader Indirect spend is strongly preferred.
  • Must have managed global agenda, teams and managed spend over $200 million.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. MBA highly desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an IT/ BPO related field.
  • Must have experience in influencing senior level executives, especially the CTO/CIO/ CHRO and CFO.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Great leadership, change management and communication skills. Ability to manage a sophisticated agenda and value creation.
  • Proficient in the best-practice sourcing process, P2P application, category management, Supplier management and complex negotiating tactics. Thorough knowledge of RFQ/RFP/RFI process.
  • Knowledge of best-in-class KPI’s, benchmarks and top-quartile levers in the Indirect spend area.
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to a wide range of partners.
  • Experience utilizing an eProcurement system.
  • Strong supplier relationship, organizational & project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and use sound judgment to make business decisions.
