The individual in this position will work directly with the Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Development identifying, analyzing and executing M&A and investment transactions for Booking Holdings. Position requires expertise in transaction execution and management, industry and company analysis, valuation, financial modeling and transaction structuring, as well as an ability to comfortably interact with senior level executives both within and outside the organization.
The Director, Corporate Development will work with a small team that identifies, analyzes and executes M&A and investment activities on behalf of Booking Holdings, a global, publicly traded company with a market capitalization of over $90 billion. The candidate will work with ‘C-level’ executives of our company and must have a demonstrated ability to independently lead M&A transactions, analyze data and be able to present findings to the Company's highest executive levels. The candidate must have experience identifying and interacting with senior executives at potential acquisition candidates, investment opportunities or commercial partners. Some travel may be required but the length of the trips will generally be limited to a few days.
Responsibilities and Duties
M&A transaction management
Business due diligence and risk assessment
Preparation of presentations for senior management
Ad-hoc analyses for senior management
Experience running M&A processes from identification through closing
Deep understanding of finance and accounting
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
Experienced in creating presentations for 'C-level' executives and Board of Directors
Highest level of maturity and respect for confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others, as well as work well with people at a wide range of levels
MBA helpful but not required
