Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG) is the world leader in online travel and related services, provided to customers and partners in over 220 countries and territories through six primary consumer-facing brands – Booking.com, KAYAK, priceline, agoda.com, Rentalcars.com, and OpenTable. The mission of Booking Holdings is to make it easier for everyone to experience the world. 

The Director Business Strategy will report directly to the CEO of BHFS and help drive strategic initiatives throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will be a proven strategist and business operator who likes to dig into the details and take on ownership. This is a highly collaborative role which requires a great communicator who is customer orientated and can bring structure and discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and support strategic initiatives that align with the long-term strategies of BHFS.

  • Engage and build relationships with Stakeholders across BHFS and Booking Holdings Inc.

  • Manage day-to-day activities including but not limited to project and pipeline tracking and reporting, as well as content development.

  • Develop C-level executive level presentations on strategy, priorities and impact

  • Communicate recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise and impactful way.

  • Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Assist senior management in removing obstacles to  unlock project/strategy progress.

  • Drive productive cross brand and cross functional collaboration and develop a scalable engagement model.

  • Organises and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision making.

  • Operate at a tactical, strategic, and operational level, handling the oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility.

  • Support CEO's office achieve company goals and objectives across multiple jurisdictions

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent writing, communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills.

  • Eager to learn new technologies and ideas. Comfortable navigating complicated and nuanced issues.

  • Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills along with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment as well as on own initiative. 

  • Positive attitude, high level of integrity and intellectual curiosity.

  • 12+ years of relevant job knowledge.
