Booking Holdings is looking for a lawyer to join the Commercial Legal Team. This team supports Company-wide strategies, drafts and negotiates key contracts, and develops and implements contracting standards and controls across Booking Holdings and its subsidiary brands. Joining the Booking Holdings legal team is a unique opportunity to work hand in hand with the Booking Holdings management team while working closely with lawyers in our brands across the globe.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will assist the procurement function by 1) drafting and negotiating complex vendor agreements in areas such as technology, cybersecurity, marketing and online advertising, professional & legal services, accounts payable and human resources and 2) drafting templates and policies for future use.
You will support and provide legal advice and contractual support to other key functions within Booking Holdings, such as: tax, finance, human resources, and real estate.
You will help us define stronger controls and standardization over contracting at our brands.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and in good standing in at least one state bar.
5+ years of legal experience as a qualified attorney, preferably including at least 2+ years in-house experience.
Exceptional legal education and law firm credentials.
Commercial and contract drafting experience required. Focus on procurement, IT, and a plus.
Strong negotiation skills, including ability to spot issues and speak to the most common concerns raised by counterparties and resolve contractual impasses.
Experience in the travel or consumer goods space is a plus.
Strong writing and editing skills and solid organizational skills.
Demonstrates pro-active and intellectually curious personality, as well as consistent good judgment and impeccable integrity.
Ability to work well with colleagues around the world and prioritize and manage with ease both time-sensitive and long-term projects.
Willingness to travel (in post Covid environment).
