The Category Lead for T&E is responsible for managing optimization of T&E spend end-to-end execution and management of the global travel program and policies. This program includes, but is not limited to, travel management companies, airlines, hotels, car rentals, ground transportation, trade show travel, traveler security, visa, passport and traveler security programs, T&E booking/expense software and meeting management programs. The position has global responsibilities across all Booking Holdings brands and reports to the Category Manager for Payments and T&E Sourcing in the Global Procurement department which is part of the Booking Holdings Finance organization.
In this role you will get to:
Develop and implement procurement category strategies for the T&E spend
Cultivate close relationships with business partners globally to support their objectives and the company growth agenda
Actively participate in the implementation of Procurement best-in-market processes and tools
Design and maintain category and supplier-level reporting to senior executives and internal stakeholders
Implement and manage effective supplier management processes to optimize the value of third-party relationships
Make business recommendations on travel program and project activities in line with business goals and objectives.
Plan, develop and direct the operation of the company's travel policy and services.
Administer and monitor the travel policies, guidelines and spend to deliver efficient travel
Lead global travel projects including the evaluation of TMC landscape and country & brand-level launches.
Optimize supplier partnerships to drive key business results.
Provide continuing analysis and development of technology and systems in area of travel plus expense reimbursement
Negotiate all travel related contracts (TMC, Hotel, Airline, Car rentals, Ground transportation, etc.) to optimize travel policy and program compliance, spend visibility, employee satisfaction and cost savings
Maintaining knowledge of global travel industry

What you have:
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field. MBA a bonus
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in T&E spend optimization and managing corporate travel programs
Experience in spend analysis, market and benchmark analysis at a broad level
Experience communicating complex and actionable concepts at a senior executive level
Intellectual curiosity and a desire to be challenged
Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, procure-to-pay processes and tools and supplier management
Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work independently and in teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations
Demonstrated change management and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop small teams and build credibility with business partners

There are a variety of job related factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.
The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC-metro area is $100,800-$123,200.
